Get to know Mya....

Hello, I am Mya, the founder of You Matter Doula Services. Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

As a mother of a Gen Z son, I know how important it is to have someone by your side to help you through a beautiful time. Because of this, I am committed to helping you overcome any fears, stress, and concerns and utilizing your voice because YOU MATTER.

At an early age, I had the opportunity to babysit for multiple families in my local community; I even helped a family friend through three births as a young teen. In 2003, I became a Medical Assistant and worked at different hospitals and medical clinics in my hometown of Los Angeles, California. In 2013, I became a surrogate parent for a wonderful family, which allowed me a front-row seat to their journey of becoming first-time parents.

The goal of YMDS is to guide you in replacing feelings of worry with calmness and confidence through encouragement.
